One of the many lies under which the T hieves and S exual A ssailants prey on us at airports is that guns aloft are fatally dangerous. No studies anywhere substantiate this fallacy; common sense says that weapons at 30,000 feet would defend us as successfully as they do on the ground. Indeed, if any passengers aboard the four doomed planes on 9/11 had carried, the day would have turned out very differently. The canny conspiracy theorist will remark that 9/11 is precisely why the Feds strove to disarm us years in advance. And that disarming also explains in part the abuse and commands crews freely heap on their customers.

But I digress. The TSA tries to justify its unjustifiable existence by hyping how many guns it steals from forgetful passengers. And sure enough, two days after Thanksgiving, "The TSA says it is confiscating a record number of guns this holiday season."

My heart goes out to all the victims of this theft. On the other hand, how encouraging that the American population is so heavily armed! Those weapons comprise our bulwark against winding up as the plandemic's prisoners, a la Australians and Austrians.

I just got my copy of RFK Jr.'s The Real Anthony Fauci.Flipping through the first couple of chapters, one thing really stood out — that Fauci dispenses some $7 billion in research grants to "public health" researchers all over the world.  He has held that position for 30 years.  This means that for thirty years there has been one-man monopoly control over virtually all public health-related "peer review."  This proves in spades what a clownish, lying, incompetent, corrupt stooge Fauci is when he responds to criticism with statements like "everyone I know agrees with me on this."  Yeah, everyone who works for him and is paid by him, or wishes to work for him and be paid by him (with taxpayers' money).  This means that "public health" peer review is a joke and a fraud.  No other profession in the world would be taken seriously if one single government bureaucrat was effectively in charge of all the professional publications in the entire field.

And what Fauci doesn't control through government funding, other government bureaucrats at NIH and elsewhere do.  They are Fauci wannabes in this corrupt, stinking, fraudulent field of "public" health.  No wonder Dr. Scott Atlas, a real doctor and medical researcher, was so shocked at the immense incompetence he was exposed to while serving on President Trump's COVID task force and sitting through meetings with dopey Fauci and that goofy scarf woman.  He told Tucker Carlson that the two of them seemed 100% detached from and unaware of the relevant science and did nothing but repeat leftist lockdown/masking/you-must-obey/jab-every-child/shut-down-all-the-schools-and-churches talking points without even discussing any scientific basis for any of it.

Making Mandates the Butt of a Joke

A fireman in Los Angeles responded so aptly to the coercion surrounding the Jab that he's sure to become a legend:

The unidentified LAFD employee, who was served with a non-compliance letter from the fire department, pulled down his pants and wiped his buttocks with it, before leaving it on the ground.

I do hope our hero enjoyed a particularly extravagant evacuation prior to said wiping.

Naturally, Mr. Brown "is under investigation." Which has the leeches affiliated with his bureaucracy anti-social-distancing themselves from him with a vengeance: one union "called the incident a 'terminable' offense" while professing to be "sickened and disgusted by this horrific display of unprofessionalism…" And, believe me, thugs who break kneecaps know "unprofessionalism" when they see it.

Meanwhile, "the president of the fire commission … was 'beyond appalled.'" So it's all the more surprising that Mr. Brown "has been placed on a paid administrative leave." Unless, of course, the über-crats appreciate his cheekiness.

A Few Things I'm Thankful for on Thanksgiving

I am blessed and thankful today for the lives and works of the fearless, uncompromising, and brilliant defenders of freedom who I have known, at the top of the list being Lew Rockwell, Murray Rothbard, and Ron Paul.  I am thankful for the life of Ludwig von Mises, one of the most remarkable human beings of the twentieth century, the greatest economist of all time, a man who was the chief European critic of all forms of socialism, from the Nazis to the Russian commies.  On top of that he was a Jew hunted by the Gestapo who fled his home just before they broke into his apartment; roamed Europe with his wife and a suitcase; miraculously ended up in America; and produced more brilliant scholarship and brilliant students at NYU for the rest of his life.  And I am thankful for the philanthropic businessmen who paid his salary at NYU, whose administrators gave him an office but disapproved of his advocacy of human freedom and opposition to socialist tyranny.  Some things never change.

I never met Mises, who died in 1973, but I did meet F.A. Hayek, and have a framed picture of him and me in my home office along with a signed copy of one of his books I was carrying when the picture was snapped.

I am thankful for all my Mises University faculty colleagues and the thousands of students who have gone through the Austrian Economics bootcamp of Mises University every summer for some thirty years.

The Enemy Admits We're Winning!

Nor is COVIDCon's defeat the only good news:

1. Hindquarters "will soon step down as the National Institutes of Health director." The only drawback: he'll continue sucking up our taxes in a generous pension.

2.  Following the expose that Hindquarters' colleague, Dr. Tony "Tortures Puppies" Falsi, had indeed tortured puppies, the public deluged Falsi with "the biggest onslaught of angry messages and threats he's received throughout the entire pandemic, … so many messages — 3,600 phone calls in 36 hours — that his assistant quit answering the phone." Too bad Falsi's annihilation of our liberties didn't likewise enrage the serfs, but hey, we'll take what we can get.

3. That "surge of threats and harassment in recent weeks has forced Fauci's staff to spend significant time debunking misinformation and grappling with security concerns." Instead of nagging us as much as they otherwise would have regarding masks and Jabs. Yeehaw!

4. Even better, "The sparring and public criticism over the last two years has led some 'very credible people' to ask Collins if it's time for Fauci to resign." Naturally, Hindquarters pooh-poohs that suggestion, or so he alleges. (Recall that "success" in "public health" requires lavish and repeated kissing of Falsi's butt. )

There was a substantial vigorous intellectual debate in the 1950s of the staid Eisenhower Era regarding High Culture versus Mass Culture among various sectors of society. This was particularly focused on how these various cultural milieus affected the new technological means of presenting entertainment, news and information — television. There was very explicit class distinctions or biases found in this debate, with the reigning intellectual elite putting forth arguments challenging middlebrow and/or lower class culture (Spike Jones, Ernie Kovacs, The Honeymooners, Milton Berle, and I Love Lucy versus Omnibus, Playhouse 90 and Leonard Bernstein's Young Peoples' Concerts). Remember this was also the time of the demonization of comic books and the emergence of Rock and Roll challenging conventional musical genres.

Having It Both Ways

NPR alleged this morning that 80% of Americans "are now vaccinated with at least one shot…" Yep, that link goes to PBS: I can't find the story on NPR that included this disingenuous propaganda (primarily because I wasn't listening closely; that's the only way I can maintain my tenuous grip on sanity when enjoying classical music on this Satanic network. But I did snap to when I heard the claim that 80% of the country has now submitted to the Jab).

And yet, the CDC decrees that

people are considered fully vaccinated:

  • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or

  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine

Meanwhile, rumors abound that the medical Marxists will add a "booster" to this definition, so that victims are "fully vaccinated" only after 3 (or 4, or 8, or 25) shots, depending on Big Pharma's greed for profits and politicians' corruption.

Intriguing, isn't it, that 80% of the country has been Jabbed when "public" media hopes to demoralize us by implying that we are a rapidly diminishing minority. Otherwise, "vaccination" requires two Jabs, two weeks and, soon, a booster for entry to concerts, restaurants and theaters in New York or San Francisco.
